Feasibility of papaya merah delima farming in suburb area of Manado City

A Research has been conducted in Pandu Experimental Garden, Talawaan Bantik Village, North Sulawesi, 2017-2019. It is located suburb area of Manado City having high demand fruits, mainly papaya The objectiveness the research was to analyze technical and financial feasibilities merah delima cultivated urban area. There were 200 seedlings planted, spacing 2 m x 2.5. Technically analyzed parameters such as plant height, stem gird, leaf number, flower fruit setting. also compared with farmers method around Statistically by using t test. Financial analysis used R/C Ratio, BEP, sensitivity. results shown that farming technically financially feasible. Moreover, Ratio 2,86, farmer 2,21. benefit gotten for plants yearly IDR33,542,000, furthermore, it an opportunity cultivate a main crop. Socially, beside marketable fruit, city’s consumers are interesting shape small size appearance.
